I’ve been there, my love.

There was a time when I was almost constantly fraught with anxiety. It wreaked havoc on my personal and professional life. Nothing I did felt like it was good enough – I was always afraid that people would discover that underneath it all, I was not so awesome after all. It was a difficult time in my life, and I had to call a time out to learn the skills that would help me cope with stress, and more importantly, stop being so darned hard on myself.

I call myself a recovering perfectionist. I still have my tendencies to want everything to be tied up in a bow, just so. The difference is that now, I can laugh at my perfectionism, calm my body and my mind, and move forward with ease and grace. I truly embrace the practice of being gentle with myself, and it has made all the difference. As a result, my mind and my heart have become good friends, I’m doing my best work in the world, and I feel clear and confident about my choices and dreams.
